People can do whatever they want to do in preparation for a DOT physical, like maybe dropping some weight that lowers the BMI reading and decreases the neck circumference. That's always good to keep away from the sleep studies that are so affordable for us all, making the outrageous money we all make!

I'm in the Philippines right now, my medical is up for renewal in August. I exercise over 2 hours a day, so am I "gaming the system" in preparation for my DOT physical? Or maybe I just should commit career suicide and go in to that DOT physical looking like the typical 350 pound walking coronary in the making with the bruised giant diabetes ankles.

When you fill out the questions on the physical, that's on you for being truthful, not me. Everyone needs to understand the consequences of lying and being caught when one screws up. I see plenty of drivers out there and I wonder how some of them passed the physical. Don't say doctor shopping! Wouldn't that be "gaming the system"? Of course, we live in a reality where everyone is on the straight and narrow and never would do such a santimonious thing!

    Sarcasm intended

I did, but she didn't know anything about arrhythmias either & said I would have to see a cardiologist. I fully expected that. That's why I hate seeing doctors.

I like your thinking. That's exactly what I did. They took EKG but she couldn't determine a #### thing. Also, yes as soon as the chiropractor blindsided me, I totally gave up coffee, became vegetarian, and walk several miles of hills every morning at 6am. I lost 20 pounds even before my DOT so I wouldn't have BP problems. That's why I feel fit to drive without spending $1,000 on doctors. But i understand it's not up to me.

There is a reason everyone is telling you to go to a cardiologist. The human body is a very complex machine, and it takes a specialist to get it right.

Do you take a kw to a Toyota dealership to get work done? No. Because they don't know how to fix it. Go to the right doctor.

UPDATE: I waited 2 weeks & went to another chiropractor on the FMCSA Med examiner list & in 15 min was given a 2 year certificate. That's how ridiculous the system is.
