By the hour. I would start at 125/hr and up depending on location with a daily minimum.

I understand hourly but I am trying not to over bid or under bid so what you think is a starting point for hourly and what you mean by portal to portal

Your local market will pretty much dictate your rates. However, if you're good you can be a little more expensive. Portal to portal is also known as port to port. It means your hourly rate should start when the truck leaves the yard and end when it returns.

With load time, unload time, travel time, & accounting for any possible delays this is a full days work. Right? If so, then you need to know what your truck needs to earn per day, and bid accordingly.

Nobody can give you a number or range of numbers, you need to know your own numbers and use them to bid accordingly.
Don’t work for free tho, or you’ll be broke in no time. Just saying:)

I got offers in the area I live as well.
This time is perfect to set up contracts with drivers using lowest rates at the moment.
It's SAD. But shippers and others don't waste their time. They know this downtime won't last forever even though it seems like it now.
