Lack of quality restorative sleep can produce depression along with many other things like it can also increase your chances of heart problems.
I'm going to take shot in the dark and say you probably never got even close to being able to sleep well in a moving vehicle.
I completely understand as I teamed twice.
Do some more in depth research on sleep debt ( yes it a real thing) .
Sleep debt and switching your sleep schedule back n forth is incredibly harsh on your body.

Get good sleep. An eye cover to not allow any light in. Also melatonin. I found these to make a huge difference.
A pet in the truck. Animals know the greater love that God speaks of. They help you get in touch with what is more important in life.
Driving or not. Many are depressed because everything in their life is false. All they have left is destruction.
Get in touch with the love that gives and asks nothing in return. Get to the point that all your heart has, is wishing others life, and life more abundant, and that’s all. It is it’s own reward. Beware...they will hate you for it. But animals won’t.

Clearing your mind is a good thing also. I try not to run anything negative in my mind when it's time for sleeping. Instead of worrying about bills, or this n that..I focus on the positive or random. I find I'm far more rested an sleep deeper if i do so.

Yes, a pet. Good help with depression. Depending on age, an type of pet...may or may not help you sleep. lol. A kitten or puppy running around the truck when your trying to sleep might not be the best idea. Haha! An older cat, dog or even a bird. Plenty of threads on here with peoples thoughts on pets in a truck.

I can neither confirm nor deny that the images below do or do not contain @IluvCATS. An just think if you bring a cat all this an more hilarity can be yours.

    Find another job.

Because if you have any depression now, you will get worst on your own later.

For now, get into your own truck and see how it goes. You should have more space and control of your schedule as well as diet which might help instead of being at the mercy of the trainer's trip plan.

If still depressed, you need to work out what the trigger is. I suppose for me I might feel a little bummed out or just bored and managed to find distractions so I didn't dwell on things to much. Audio Books, Podcasts, and some Videogames helped.

The the problem is related to fatigue though, it might be difficult to deal with. I'm currently off the highway working as a local Yard Spotter and my shifts are usually just 8 to 9 hours unlike OTR running 10 to 11 so I like having more personal time. That might be an option to consider if you just get sick of OTR.

Yeah I have been married over a decade been with the same woman 15+ years. Used to having this suddenly for 8 weeks I did not while out with a trainer. Not like she was unwilling or unable (like after having my son's). It was a shock to my system that I was unprepared for. I'm committed to her and not looking for something on the side while away.

My current local job fits my life better for a multitude of reasons.

Also listening to Comedy can help a lot.
