That new, they're still only worth face value or the American equivalent.

When I got to Germany in July 1978 the exchange rate was 2.45/dollar. When I left in May 1980 it was 1.52

Last week I get a knock at 330 in the morning. Guy said he needs gas money.
I tell him I didn't have any cash only my debit card.
He said they have a ATM inside.
I just said #### and rolled the window back up. Lol

Pilot in Birmingham, J in Houston, customer in Little Rock and again in Memphis, Benton Harbor ... Others I can't remember. These days I try to avoid parking in places that get "walk ins".

    J in Houston off 45?
If so doesn't seem bad never been bothered.

Memphis parked at pilots off 78... Same as above.

    Here's an idea.

Next time you get near a construction site, go pick up some of the knockouts from electrical boxes and keep them handy for the next one that asks for "spare change".

Back in my days in the building trades I used them in parking meters. :)
