Yes did a lot of it with JB Hunt ... but that was a few years ago. I liked Hunt they were pretty good until they gave me a new idiotic FM then I left. They call me about 3 times a year to come back , but there is better , easier with more $$$ out there so I stay gone.ChevyCam Thanks this.

a few months late but check out AIS in jacksonville. they are a sister company for a can hauler i work for out of Memphis Tn (IMCG)
its possible they have lanes going to tampa and back, im 99% drop and hook and maybe have had 3 appointments over the year and change ive been here. of course i haul out of railyards and not port so mileage may vary.
either way, roll up to the port for an hour or so and write down all the names you see except megas. its not the highest paying, 1.21 for me but you are home everyday. there is highway truck, and there is intermodal truck. its about keeping your overhead low as possible so you dont buy a late model truck for cans so dont let that fool you.
caution tho, its up and down right now with the trade war going on.Zayah Thanks this. -
Getting into is horribly easy. Its the getting out that bites.

They paying $20.50 per hour at Road Runner in So Cal. Or you can work at JB Hunt for few years until you qualify for longevity pay, which is nice.
Ao transport Thanks this. -
Notice the op is no longer around? I wonder if he indeed bought that truck yet and tried to make it on his own or just gave up the idea ?
stillwurkin Thanks this.
