How to find good shippers and lease companies?

Well...we WERE auto haulers till the big three crashed and now we are on the hunt for a new gig. Hubby's MVR a challenge with over three accidents/moving violations and a 20 year past criminal history...no felonies (young and dumb he says) . We just bought the truck in '08 and all was going really good....hubby is a very hard worker and a honest man. We are regional...Texas...but may have to look elsewhere. We've already ran into one company tried to sublease us to somebody without either sides knowledge...alot of don't tell them that and don't say that to the company we were to pull for....red flags went to flying!

We'd love to keep pulling cars but can't find an opening. Are there loadboards for shippers? Any companies that will lease us not sticklers on clean mvr and backgrounds?
