they at least could of let mack keep their parts #s. 2 old duffers at the parts counter quit over that. Now it's a pain in the ### getting some simple part. The inframe kit for 93 E-7 was 1 out of 16. Not sure for the yr, or total or maybe just the 454 they were talking about? Local Bosch distributor D&W didn't even have D. Valves

    The bibles. Free too

As far as I know it was literally called Caterpillar Next-Gen Turbocharger. I can't find any info online about it but it was in an engine course I took a couple years ago.

I wasn't quite accurate with the description. Its actually classed as a twin scroll turbo. I was mistaken about the 2 turbines. It appears it just focuses the exhaust gas streams onto 2 different areas of the turbine wheel.

Any like that in Aftermarket parts? That's cool. Exactly what i could use. 1600 the boost comes on real mean. 1400 would be nice. Pulls max boost 1450 all the way 1800

Had to go look. Ol Pap that had the engines claimed they did not come in PT boats. Guess there is some controversy over this. Just rescue boats. Him and his brother (both wwll vets) bought one on the east coast, ran it to Florida. Cost them to much, swaped in a couple Cummins running comercial fishing. After his brother died, he came back up here and trucked the rest of his life. I still remember the aluminum oil pans in the yard. We were not family. But felt like it.

Not to derail this, but Hall-Scotts were impressive motors. They had mombo displacement ( I think the biggest was 1091 ci,) were OHC and put out 275 hp' which may not seem like much, but in the 50's, diesels were only in the 180 hp range. Biggest problem with H-S, is they got awful gas mileage, half of what diesel could make. That added up after a while.

Yea Old Paps told me that the rescue boat had a 55 gallon drums of oil above each engine in the boat. And fuel economy was atrocious. I didn't not know till that video that Cadillac bought their OHV V8 from Hall-Scott. Very interesting, lean something new everyday.
