So I was talking to a recruiter and she asked me about my ticket. I told her I didn't remember how much over the limit I was. She said I would need to find out so I've been trying to figure out how with nothing but hurdles.

Let's see... The ticket itself is long gone, I paid it online and tossed it. I bought a driving report, it lists the violation code as S93. Looking that up got me nowhere, it's apparently a generic for speeding (no speed breakdown). It lists the court as a 3 digit number, which I can't find anything online to translate into usable info to call them. It lists the citation number, I called the DPS of the state I was in when I got the ticket, apparently the citation number doesn't pull up anything. I tried looking it up online and nothing as well, probably because the ticket is over 24 months old.

I'm kinda lost on what to do at this point. I can't for the life of me figure out how much I was speeding. I don't think it could have been too bad because it didn't get me any demerit points or anything, my printout shows 0 points. Anything else I can try?

If it's not on your DVR, I wouldn't worry about it. Tell them it was longer than you thought and its not showing anymore. Your DVR is your bible.

Call the jurisdiction where you received it and give them your name. They have to have a file. I have run into a situation that they couldn't find a citation through the number, so they asked for my name and found it. The jurisdiction will probably ask what county or agency(officer) was the citation issued in, then they will track it down. It takes a little more in your part to find it. They will only help you as much as you want, YOU have to push more on your part. It's not going to fall on your lap. Good luck...

What do you mean by jurisdiction? Like the local police department?

If you can't remember I don't know why the recruiter don't leave it at that and she can look it up.because when you do find out the recruiter still is going to look it up.

From the looks of it they'd be going through hell just trying to look it up unless it's listed in plain text somewhere that I can't find. I think she needs to know the general severity of it regardless to continue the process though.

Which is why she's going to look it up.you don't think the recruiter is going to automatically take your word on the ticket do you?

once you do find the info you'll need to fax it to your recruiter.she will not go by your word, she'll need proof.if this ticket is that old and you can't find any into on it,i wouldn't put this down on future applications.
