2011 T660 auto
Same problem on my truck.
It takes time to get into Drive, or Reverse, and even neutral. Sometimes it doesn’t even get into gear! Have to wait overnight till it cools down.
But once it gets into gear it’s fine and will shift through the gears all just fine stop and go just can pull it out of drive. -
Did you ever get this issue resolved? I am having a similar issue on mine. Looking for a good service spot.

Is it an ‘automatic’ or is it an ‘auto shift’?flood Thanks this.

Yes he did. It was an problem with corrosion in the harness.
-
It’s an auto shift (automated manual)

seems like this time every year without fail when things start to come out of deep freeze season error codes and confusion ensues.
what eaton ultra shift sensor is responsible for knowing where neural is? mine has acted up before but by making sure to put it in gear and go from 1 to 2 and back to neural with the brake set before shutting down it would know where it is when it wakes up. running into the sporadic issue now where even doing that before shut down and it still won't go into gear when it wakes up, having not moved an inch. you have to release the brake and let it roll a few inches, then it will go into gear -
sounds like weak X Y shifter

Sounds like your o-rings inside the range cylinder is bad .The part number is K-3484 it cost $17 and doesn’t take much to fix.I had the same problem you are describing. I would start there before going down the parts rabbit holeshatteredsquare Thanks this.
