If one wants to drive a CMV they must obtain a CDL from their local DMV.
One must be aware of the FMCSRs from the FMCSA under the authority of the DOT. Preforming a PTI, filling out a DVIR, and understanding how to use an ELD is required.
CMV companies will hire you with a clean report from the FMSCADAC. They will check your DR and your DAC.
Be aware that compaines concerned with their CSA and their ISSS they get from the DOT because of the CVSA will look closely at your PCP.
Have I left anything out?

*Edit*
They will look closely at your PSP not your PCP although they will check for PCP at the FMCSADAC. -
You left out the fact that just about everything you said is wrong. Which is the problem with absolutes.
For example we don't even have a DMV in Michigan, it's Secretary of State's office.
Compared to a total number of companies, only a small portion actually use DAC, it's not the boogieman some make it out to be. It's a private comapny selling a private service. Also, it's called Hirerite, hasn't been called DAC for over a decade.
ISSS is a made up term, at least I've never heard it before and not finding any thing in relation to trucking in a google search.
Companies can check a drivers PSP report, but it's by no means required.tscottme and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
One also needs a medical card to get their CDL. I guess that falls under what you already said though.
-
He may mean CDLIS (Commercial Drivers License Information System), although this is normally not a necessary check until the CDL is issued.
-
ISSS is what some DOT will list on their IRs. It is by no means "a made" up term.
https://app.thetruckersnetwork.net/...score identifies high,rating from zero to 100.
Consider obtaining knowledge without using Google. -
Yes. They will need to see a Dr.
-
Would help if you used the correct term. In either case doesn't apply to the driver so it's pointless to bring it up in relation to hiring a driver.snowwy Thanks this.
-
I did.
ISSS stands for: Inspection Selection System Score. -
Which has ZERO information that anyone would check when hiring a driver.tscottme Thanks this.
