Yeah EZ we run into that around here but if none of the treatment plants would accept it we try to get it to either an injection well in ohio or a landfill.

    Update on my journey
Put in about 27 hrs in the past two nights its been raining. As you know the roads have been a nightmare. I am glad the Army spent the money to train me on off road driving! Got to drive a new Mack pinnacle with the MP8 engine its a power house on the bottom end. Locking diffs are nice. We have 389 petes with ISX,s one with a 1 C-15 and couple of Internationals one 9900 and a 9200 with the ISX . One old (2004) Mack with the E-7 400 that I normaly drive. The Macks are better trucks for this work. Most of the other companys run the cheaper Macks or Kenworth T-800 I have seen a few Westen Stars and Volvos.
On the fracking issue the oilfield is one of the few places in this country where you get paid for your work I make in two days what most OTR drivers make in a week. I agree we need to make sure its safe and then frac every well we can.
In Ok wells that have been dry for 75 years are back in production better than ever! If this country has a chance it will be in oil.
As I drive to work I see wind farms and oil wells we need the oil now as we learn to harness other means of energy for later. Nobody wants to see bad water or any other unwanted effects. This is a secret please dont tell anyone if the EPA would leave the oil industry alone we can be engery indpendent from any other country. This will make us great again one day.

    I hope

Well starting wages around here in OK is 18.50 for days and 20.00 for nights if you want hours I put in around 80-100 hrs every two weeks working 3-4 days a week. If I worked full time around 160- 180 or more. I think OK is overlooked cost of living is cheap Ham and Phillips put guys in hotels and still makes money?
I fueled the other night and a beat up T2000 pulled up next me the dash was piled with trash the very obese driver got out and waddled into the loves this thing looked like it should be on the horders show the guy looked as if he had not showered in a month! I wonder if OTR is worth it?

I think that you will be better off for he time being staying put in the oilfields!! If you want to go OTR I hear LTL is a good way to go. Personally I would rather haul loads in the oilfields!! Save some money up and become an O/O with a winch truch and lease it on with an oil company out there!! I hear the money in it is incredible!!

I'd stay right there for awhile. You're getting experience with a tanker and I believe that will payoff in the long run. We've had a few drivers come from the oilfields and started hauling gasoline and they would never go back.

As far as what you believe in the news about fracking nothing that I have seen deals with oil wells. It's all natural gas that leaks out from the casing. People that can light their tap water on fire sure have a problem but you'll hear the companies say there's nothing wrong. I've made the most of my living from a major oil company and I wouldn't trust them in any case. Just look at how BP stated that deep well drilling is safe and don't worry. Then when they have the biggest spill in U.S. history they come out and say it's beyond todays technology to stop the leak. The product itself is better today than years ago but it's the methods they use to extract the product that makes the problems. Which effects much less. But then if you're one of those effected then it's much bigger.
