Called third parties here in Ga. They no longer supply the trucks do to liability. This is NOT an excuse. Just info in case someone else reads this down the road and what I am finding out.

Whew, not even a potential employer can help you, if for instance you work the docks for a while till they get to know you? I have been a witness to some LTL companies actually sending an employee to trucking school for a CDL. They work day shift, go to school nights, or work days, go to school in the afternoon.

Just an added idea or two?

Yep..that's what im doing now..working for a driver for major company..and yes..so far we are hoping that he doesn't have to work day of test...just getting advise for back up plan. Even have a truck to use if have Saturday appt, but again, DMV uses those days for driving school students. Now, this is just here in Atlanta area..not to say other regions or states differ.

I will ill say again..everyone's advise has been listened too and appreciated!

Just a thought, farmers have trucks and are not required to have a cdl in my state. Maybe you could find one with a grain trailer.
