It's hard to take anyone that doesn't do a little homework on their own seriously.

Yes i get your point i suppose, however even if a person may sound like a green horn why not give them a little slack? There is so much nastiness in the world why do we need any more?

In the process of starting a dispatch business. What is the best way to find carriers?

I see alot of people asking for the 'list' of how to get shippers etc...when its all very well spelled out here. C'mon people, do some legwork, dont expect it handed to you as you will never succeed that way. Learn from the ground up...I did.

I may have just landed a direct shipper yesterday while going to get a load of free pallets with my pickup!! I pull up to this place and asked if they were giving away the huge stack of pallets they had in their yard and I also casually asked the guy about their operation, which is drilling mud (they receive it in bulk, then bag n palletize it n send it out to the rigs), radius and outbound load volume. The guy asked if I was a local carrier and almost pleaded with me to go see their head office because the current carrier is nothing but a major headache and hassle for them. We shall see!!!

I think if I can get into this deal, then delivering right to the rigs, I will get to meet with all these consultants, and if they are impressed with the efficiency, that will also open alot of doors oilfield wide!!!

One thing I'll tell you about mud loads- I do a *lot* of them - they're heavy as hell. What can you scale out at?
