How long was your license suspended for? Depending upon how long it's been, you might have to start over(refresher course) with a training company.
Other than that, just start putting apps in everywhere you can explaining the suspension. Someone will most likely take a chance on you if it hasn't been too long since you've driven. -
A litte more informtion might help too... What were the fines for... it would make a difference... Even if you explain to a company that your licenses was suspended for unpaid fine... they are going to want to know what you were fined for...
Also, how long it was suspended for... 1 month, 4 monts, 18 months....
There are companies that will hire you if you had a suspension, depending on why and how long it was suspended for. -
You people need to get off this "training company" thing . They aren't the only option out there and they aren't interested in helping anybody or giving anybody a chance .
The thing is to apply to smaller , local companies and be straight with them .LavenderTrucker, SweetSouthernRide, doubledragon5 and 4 others Thank this. -
My license was suspendid for 6 days and i had a hard time finding a job

Maybe you should read the complete post. It says MIGHT. Below that it says to apply to several companies and see what they say. No where did I say they were the only option.

Wait a minute...RickG is making a very good point and it is good information for newbies.
There is some weird brainwashing or collective thought amoungst newbies that they have to go to some "training company" do their time and hope for the best before they can apply to a better smaller company...
Another important thing to add or mention is that if you have something like a suspension... those cookie cutter apply online applications is not your best bet...
Find companies in your area... perhaps all trucking companies in a 100 mile radius and go in and apply... in person... face to face... the old fashioned way... That way it is easier for you to explain your suspension or whatever and make a good impression... and maybe even get a driving job...CertifiedSweetie and SweetSouthernRide Thank this. -
And where did I say to put applications in only online? So many things are being read into what I typed that wasn't typed at all. Maybe I should of said nothing at all. I do understand about how suspensions can affect someone. Luckily, it wasn't that big of a deal though.

riddlemethis... what makes you think my post... or RickG's had anything to do with you or your posts...
Mine for certain did not... I have always tried to inform newbies to seek and apply in person to smaller local companies....
I didn't or at the very least hadn't noticed you even existed before less than an hour ago... and as I said, this is not the first time that I have taken the opportunity to inform and encourage newbies to apply to smaller companies and when or if possible in person...
So get over yourself your just not that important and it's not all always about you...SweetSouthernRide Thanks this. -
RickG replied to my post. Then you replied after I replied to his post with...Wait a minute...which would have to be to my post. So, maybe we're misunderstanding each other. I in no way think anything is all about me and for you to reply this way is insane. All I did was reply to try to help somebody. No more will I do this in the future. Thanks for showing me what this board is truly about.
