    Hello ,

I recently got my authority and my wife has been getting the loads set up at home on her computer and fax. My question is, when shes not home I would like to set up the loads from the truck. What is the best way to send and receive and sign the load confirmations to send back to the broker??

Will you have a 3 in 1 machine on the truck? The way I do it is have the broker email me the confirmation, print it, sign it, scan it back in and email it back. That way I have an immediate record of it. A 3 in 1 machine is handy to have with you especially with your own authority. These other ways will also work just as well. It depends on how you want to do it.

the best way is to have them email you a .pdf. You can sign it with Adobe Reader without printing it out, you just have to put a scan of your signature in. Save time and ink ! But if they absolutely have to fax it to you myfax.com works pretty well, $10/month. They'll give you a number and it comes to your email. you can also fax people straight from your email by attaching the document and entering their number i.e.- 15555555555@myfax.com as the recipient.

I have used Metrofax since 2009 and have been very happy. Plans start at $7.95/month with annual pricing discounts available.

get yourself a wireless printer. and the right phone. and you might be able to download whatever app you sign up with onto your phone. then just print wireless from your phone.

my app even takes a pic and sends right from the phone.

all kinds of ways to do things these days.

I use Efax and its free if you dont go over a certain amount each month which i havent yet to date. And that includes doing contracts and such. Use 3-1 printer scanner copier and hotspot making it wireless between my ipad and laptop. And yes i do use e-mail once in awhile also but much easier when you have alot more options.
