Try raising that arm above your head while they are testing you.
Just try, and see what they say.

It will not read more accurately, it will likely read lower. The monitor should be close to the level of your heart to read accurately.

Blood pressure has so many factors, I had borderline stroke pressure, and never even knew it. Naturally, I had to get it down for a health card, so they monitored me for like a month. I swear, it was all over the place. Once it was off the scale, the dr. said, um, what did you eat? I said, a bag of double dipped chocolate covered peanuts, he said, don't do that. Another time, I worked nights, so I'd usually go late in the aft. before work, but had to wait until next morning once. I had like 2 thermos of coffee, drove all night, unloaded a trailer, didn't eat, I go in, the dr. says, "perfect", Go figure.:dontknow:

The only time I tested high enough to just get a 90 day card, I waited until late in the evening and had just finished mounting 8 new drive tires. lol
Plus I had been drinking coffee all day.
I cut back on salt and took garlic tablets for a while and passed easy enough, but still somewhat high. I have since gone back to my same old eating habits and even drinking coffee, it has been pretty much perfect the last few times. Go figure.

    FlaSwampRat and truckdriver31 Thank this.

Poor diet is one possible issue..Stop eating crap...
    Nothing wheat related(breads n pastas)
    No can goods
Get out for a casual stroll every so often and get back to basics
Meats, fish, veggies, spuds kinda foods..Stay away from the processed stuff in a package...Read labels and if you cant spell it or read it then it shouldnt be in the food..
A lil blunt in sorry but i bet its all what you eat..
Like someone else said,a bit late to be asking with your dot physical tomorrow...

    truckdriver31 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
