The only states that I know of that might emphasize it are MO,MT,NC (Missouri has a phone number to report “fuel cheats” posted at some of their scale houses, lol)and if they see fit,NY. And the only reason New York might do it is because of all the tribal lands in the state that sell red dye at their fueling stations.

Just curious now, I’ve heard of guys running waste oil in with their fuel as well. Lubrication the reason they do that? Or just a way to get rid of it?

A lot of guys used to do that with mechanical engines, both to augment their fuel, help with lubricity, and get rid of it. I don't think the electronic injectors of today's engines would play well with it though.

They sure have in the past. Be prepared to change fuel filters a lot more often though.

    JMO.. but why ????
Stop and think about it .. its used DIRTY oil ?
Have you price what it cost to get a B model pump gone through lately ???
You ever seen what happens when the barrels get scored in that pump ??? Do you have any idea what the tolerances are with the barrels & plungers in a pump ???
You willing to take the chance that the filters will filter the dirt or brass or metallic particles out of the used oil.... ???
    I'am not
Let me ask you this .. would you take a blood transfusion from a Crack Ho ?
    Just say'n

Ok maybe I won’t if you put it that way! My injection pump is currently in the process of being rebuilt, and NO I’d rather not redo it right away!:biggrin_2554: Now, since we’re talking about “fuel additives” have any of you guys ever run Max Mileage Fuelborne Catalyst? If so, how did that perform for you?

I run Howes in the winter and 2 stroke year round. I don't have any experience with anything else. An old freind of mine would put a capfull of isopropyl alchohol in the tank every fill up, just to help with water dispursion, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
