God ain't gonna pay for a new engine though, but I may start using it. We really don't have much problem with water in fuel here though.

They check around here alot. Few years back they were checking every truck and pickup at MATS in Louisville,KY. State fair grounds, is state property. Farm science show has been the same.

Ohio had people stop in the shop to check any fuel storage container or cans on service vehicles also.

Any of you guys use Marvel Mystery Oil? Our mechanic swears by it as a fuel additive and he's usually right about stuff like that.

I used to work with a guy that used it years ago, but it's red. I'm not sure if that would get a guy in trouble.

Here in ND, before ULSD (2007ish) we had low sulfur and high sulfur available at the rack. Low sulfur was iirc, less than 500ppm and clear. High sulfur was less than 2000ppm??? And dyed red. Also called it Burner Fuel. Just sayin’, I owned a 1996 7.3 Powerstroke and a 1986 with an 6.9 IDI. Y’all wanna guess if I had the cherry flavor in my tank? Lol!

Considering how much those chemicals can cost it would probably be cheaper just to buy clear diesel in the first place. And I really don't think I would be wanting to put bleach, HCl, or chlorine through my fuel system.

If any of y'all try using cat litter or activated carbon or anything like that, you should probably filter your fuel through a cheesecloth or something to strain out all the grit before it gets into your tank and into your fuel filter.
