So when a 4 wheeler see me coming on ramp to merge they should slow down or move over. If they don't, I should slow down till I see a open to merge or stop traffic behind me till I wait for a open

Well, no 4 wheeler will let a truck in, again, same thing, if you're coming down the ramp, and it looks hopeless, and you are running out of real estate ( ramp) signal on, slowly force your way in, whatever you do, DON'T STOP!!

OP your thinking about it all wrong from the start:

You are not driving a truck. You are using a truck to drive a trailer.

Think about it. You do not ignore the truck, but where the truck goes is secondary to where the trailer needs to be. Learn to drive like that and you won't make it on one the 'best in crash' web sight.

That made me think. I did that today. My instructor took me driving again but this time it was the high way. I was scared. Then he tell me to get up to speed. I hit them gears and got up to 50 miles per hour and using my mirrors. Going up the ramp and I signal left the and saw cars moving over to the other lane. If they want to go home to their family they better move over

While I never advocate using your size of the truck as a way of getting in, sometimes, you have to be aggressive, same with trying to get across an intersection, sometimes, you just have to go for it, and like you say, you're a lot bigger than them and common sense tells them, unless they WANT to get run over, they will back down. A simple wave, or blink the lights shows you appreciate it, and we still all have to share the road.

Well I went driving again and I'm starting to get use to the flatbed trailer behind my truck. I driven the truck into coming traffic and out of traffic. My instructor was grading me on my performance but it wasn't a test. To be honest all I know is he wrote my name down and stuff. He notice that I kept grinding gears and he gave me instructions to correct it. 20 minutes later we came to a stop and I ask him can he demonstration for me. Man! He did that like a pro. So I told him I can do that to. I got back In the driver seat and nail it. The other 3 students in the back told me I did very good.
