I got one for you. I just got back into carhauling a year this month. I bought a 2014 peterbilt with a Cummins isx15. Long story short starting in june 2016 at 147,000 miles I've had basically an inframe due to two liners that dropped because of broken shims and when they pulled the head found that the liners were polished..(liner polishing). Gone through two def or i guess ammonia dosers, a nox sensor and a turbo actuator all in 5 months. Shop noted none of this was driver error. Cummins did choke up 7600.00 on the rebuild but what about down time. Ive been on the road and an own/op fir 13 years. Is there any recourse...

This is why I'm a company driver. Something breaks? Toss the keys to the shop man and grab another unit. Funny thing is, my trucks stay in pretty good shape, (once I break them in and clean them up) the problem is other drivers don't seem to take care of their equipment.

Also, boss man leases his units from the big 2 (Penske & Ryder) with full service contracts. I can get serviced in just about any city, & nothing we have is more than 8 years old.
