If you get a traffic ticket, you can usually keep it off your DMV record. A Deferred Adjudication is best and available in most places.

This means you plead guilty and pay a fine but it stays off your record.

To do this, call the court as soon as possible and aske them about it. If they don't give the answer you want, call the prosecutors office in that town. If that doesn't work, call a local lawyer.

If you live in New York you may have trbl because in some counties they no longer allow it due to bad press coverage about it.

If you have a hazmat endorsement you'll have trouble getting the deferred adjudication.

If you do get the deferred adjudication, it is usually contingent on not getting anymore tickets for a period of time, usually 90 days, 180 days, or 365 days.

The easiest way to keep a ticket off your record, is to not get any tickets. Particularly moving violations. And YES, it CAN be done.
But it does take someone who is careful, almost to point of being anal about it. Oh yeah, a good healthy dose of good luck helps as well.

Occasionally even good drivers will get a ticket it's precentages. That's just the way it is. However following the regs. sure makes life easier in the long run, that and time behind the wheel. Keep on the low down not the hammer down.

Deferred Adjudication does not apply to CDL holders, not even when they were driving a personal vehicle. FMCSR 384.226.

CDL holder is a money Generator for the States. This industry has so many services that the Driver can't do without. It's a sorry Choice for a person to get into. One ticket the world over one late pu/del the world over on DAC. F***k This industry.

About 5 years ago in NC I was speeding in my personal vehicle(75/55). Since I was a CDL holder I got a lawyer who was able to get me Prayer for Judgment. I received no points and paid my dues and the ticket was downgraded to improper equipment. So I guess it really depends on the judge or your lawyer.
