Well I mean all the Sun Country's are long and I don't want to remove my bed, or hauler bed if when I go with a 4500. So if Infinity is a starter trailer, then $35K is a lot for a starter trailer! If it has that many repairs compared to Kaufman, or Appalachian, or anybody, then why not just spend $18K. Headaches are headaches. I just thought there were stronger built trailers for these rough roads, and the amount of weight, but maybe Sun Country is the only way to go. Take 3 trailers are also strong looking, but once again, they only offer long ones, and Take 3 is closer to me than Sun Country. Are these the only possibilities?
How to load 4 car/Kaufman?

That and a sleeper, a REAL sleeper are the biggest reasons to get a pickup based truck out of your equation, just sayin.brian991219 and Terry270 Thank this. -

Well, no matter what I won't be that much of an OTR, I'll find something else. Keep in mind, this is not a primary income, and 28 out 32 contacts that I have from my retired neighbor is within 100 miles of me, here in the DFW area. 30K/year is ok with me, working 30+ hours/week. So with that in mind, I agree with brakes, and tires, especially being in traffic, with no help from the engine brake. I operated air brakes back on the farm in the late 80's early 90's. Electric over hydraulic disk brakes is really the only thing I want in a trailer, as those are very durable and extremely reliable as well.
I can put my travel Select Comfort air matress, and my Therapeutica travel pillow in my backseat, as I always do at hotels/the in-laws house, and I'll sleep as good as I do at home in my Select Comfort/Therapeutica combo bed/pillow. Look that Therapeutica up. The pillow/neck is more important than anything else, cause your neck bent, bends nerves, which therefore sends the screwed up signals to the brain, therefore sending screwed up signals to the rest of your body, and you wake up feeling horrible. Gotta keep the neck straight and relaxed. Did I mention that I'm also a wellness/whole organic food coach, kind of a little chiropractic as well? So I disagree with the sleeper thing, especially when there are ways to have a 110v in the pickup, mobile entertainment, mobile office stuff, and mobile mini fridges along with dry ice. I have some experience traveling with my own kitchen basically in order to eat organically with smoothies.
I also disagree DOT's length limit issue with having a pickup bed, when there are so many custom semi's and hauler beds, and even many semi's with large toolboxes/storage areas right behind the sleeper, or in different areas, that could probably haul as much as I could in my pickup bed, with a trailer attached. But govt is govt, and I don't like the control, but then who does.
I have a few other talents I make some money off of, but my wife has the job that trade's the time/dollars the best way possible, with the least amount of headaches.
Thanks for the info on the trailers. I'm actually looking at a few custom builders as well to see what they can build. Chris -
