Not too bad, this was taken about 5 minutes ago. AFTER a 3 block walk and back!

No caffeine or salt for the next two weeks. On the day of the physical, nothing to drink 8-10 hrs before.

Some say potassium and garlic helps, but I haven't found that to be the case.

If you are really brave/desperate pop a Viagra before the exam and try not to look at anything sexy.

You are not going to like what I say but to bad. 1. See a doctor for a prescription for meds. 2. Lose weight. 3. Check the label on everything you eat. Choose low sodium alternatives. Start avoiding bacon, cheese and nearly all fast food. When your BP comes down, you will feel much better physically.

So..........I hit the nurses station today at my factory job and had her do a test on me. Only got 3 hours sleep so I thought this could be ugly. I was in the 150 range, even being tired and no sleep last night. She mentioned Walmarts machines are junk. Feel better now knowing I have a good shot with me behaving the next 2 weeks food wise and working out. Taking a lot of advice I`m seeing on here. Thanks to everyone!

No caffeine, no alcohol for a few days. Drink a bottle of beet juice beforehand.

That is the worst thing I have ever tasted.

@GYPSY65 Did you get a 2 year card while you're on BP meds or are you no longer taking them? I thought if you were on them you can only get a 1 year card.

Just for the record! If any of you are Veterans you can get things like BP devices from the VA. I have already worn one out and am on my 2nd one. If you are an Honorably Discharged Veteran get a copy of your DD214 and fill THIS FORM out! That's it! I just had a procedure done that costs anywhere from $10,000 to $40,000 for basically a small co-pay. The VA does sleep studies and will give you a CPAP machine. Just saying!

Go walk everyday for about an hour, I do this and water fast weekly months before a dot test. Walk is the biggest thing.
