thats being ignorant. even if a trucker doesnt like that stuff, i respect other truckers. i dont respect idiots with nose in cell phone going down the highway in their automatic truck. in fact im fed up with it. every dam truck that passed me in middle lane today during heavy rain had one hand on cell phone and eyes buried in it. pisses me offf

 

I got over loud exhaust systems in my early 20's. Like it quiet now

 

I like it loud and proud and I'm in my 30's... so Maybe I will like it quiet when I turn 50

 

We are going off on a tangent here. I'm just giving a warning, "they" will accrue hearing loss just to look cool, and annoy a fist full of people doing it (loud pipes). Not worth it, but (people like me) often need to lean the hard way. By then it's too late to take it back. At lest keep the window rolled up.

 

im 45 and cant get enough. A good local friend of mine who is 57 just put 7 inch straights on his 91 pete 379. he hauls fuel. Theres no such thing as age preference. That guy you qouted just acting like its a maturity thing. Tell that to the bikers who want the loudest exhaust, or the guys running muscle cars. ITs all what you like. An if its your job, do what makes your job enjoyable.

Yes, very true, when I see 40 year old bikers in black leather coats with something like "Death Angels" written on them, I think those kids got older bodies, but never actually grew up.
I am also negative about loud jakes,because usually I hear them when some ####### goes through a parking lot, uses them in little cities on any small hill, or at some other wrong time, thinking that everyone else is enjoying his loud brakes as much as he does.
There is a reason you see "no jakes without mufflers" signs everywhere.
It's basically the same to me as kids driving around in their raced out Dodges with super loud bass.
