I guess last week I filled out a short application form on the Internet for those interested in truck driving. Now I'm getting a dozen calls a day. I've already decided on Prime.
My fault. I'm guessing that the web site sold my name to everybody and anybody...
How to make the calls stop...recruiters..

oh give it a week or two,,,or 36. theyll tire of hearing no thanks eventually.
-
Dozen calls a day? Just out of curiosity, which companies called?
-
you have to b careful, some of the ads read (puts you in touch with hundreds of employers) have a good day
-
What exactly are you qualified to do driving a truck?
Yes they did! Thats how they make money.
Not beating you up here but answer the above questions to yourself. If your just starting out,,,take whatever you can get and if you are the "cream" you will rise to the top with whoever you hire on with. -
One company rep told me that they reject 80% of applicants. Drug use, driving record, and alcohol. -
If you're already hired just ask the others if your pending DUI charge will be a problem. If that doesn't stop them ask lots of questions about exactly how the drug test works. "I just need to make sure it's not a hair test"
I think what two lane was getting at was that you aren't hired yet, so it's best to keep your options open.twolane Thanks this. -

That's what those recruiting websites are for. Saves you a lot of work filling out applications. All the phone calls you receive, prove those websites work. Now, do a little research on the companies websites, that your interested in, and follow through.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this.
