long story short I just got issued a almost new 2014 truck by my company. I would like to know how I can keep the rims shiny like they are now. I really don't want to go out and buy an angle grinder in all the stuff needed by the professional people. Is there a way to clean and keep your rims clean by hand? It would be something that I would do you on a 34 hour break.are there any kind of tips or products that you would recommend? Maybe even household items that one originally designed for that purpose? Someone once told me that Coca Cola works good on them but I've never tried that.

Better check and make sure they're not Dura-Bright before you start trying to polish them.

I currently own a Kwicksilver wheel repair shop. I use Mothers aluminum polish. Auto Glym is better but hard to find.

Get some mothers and apply a very small amount in a inconspicuous area. If it turns black, you are on bare aluminum and can polish away. If it stays cream colored, there is some protective coating on the wheel and it should only be cleaned with nothing harsher than dish soap. I use windex

You could do what the fleabags at the truckstops do... steal some diesel out of the truck next to you, and wipe it on your wheels. Then charge yourself $5 per wheel.
