Like most tv mounts you can't install them into a truck without drilling holes, I'm a company driver I don't have that option.

I had a couple trucks with those factory installed 5 inch black and whites in the dash. Of course they were twenty years old by the time i got them and had stopped working long before that. I never got them fixed or replaced cause the idea of a tv in the dash just didn't seem all that smart.

So did you ever actually tell the name of the mount so we can know what to look for?

just use the $9.96 mount from Wally World, the Onn Mount. I attached a SS for reference. You’ll need two extra extra washers to ensure security to the window - you’ll get 4 in the mounting pack. 9D200CE8-9C5D-4120-B734-70DBCC7189EB.png

I just installed a 32” in TCL in my 2021 Freightliner Cascadia. I’ll give an update when I run the next 1k and see how it holds. It seems secure. The standard manf won’t work because of the microwave cabinet so I used the window bolts. Leaving a bag full of clothes underneath it just in case the freightshaker shakes it off, providing a little graceful impact, with a pillow under it when I’m rolling

look at the beginning of the thread. Depending on your tv model and how much room is on the back and how high you mount it, you won’t need to pull the T handle off your window bar.
$10 at Walmart, pull the two window screws, put washers on the star bolts, screw the plate in. Literally that simple.
Then attach the mount to your tv with hardware, and off to the races you go

Came standard in the cascadia behind the pass seat. I’ll check when I go back outside to the truck in the morning. I think it’s a 1500 or 2500 since there’s a microwave and full size dorm fridge with a factory tv mount install

    I thought I had a pic but I don’t
I built an aluminum rectangle frame with a center post

Bolted it to the bottom of the upper bunk and side of the cabinet
    Used 2.5 “ rectangle tube
Mounted a 32” to the center on a swing mount
Have Bose surround speakers sitting on the bottom tube and sub behind pass seat
