How To (Obtain A CDL)

    Because, when you get your CDL from them, it will be a CDL for THEIR state, not yours, and as I already said, if they're in TX, you're screwed

    I know Texas is out of the question but, im talking about other companies. Other people are from out of state going to schools. You just transfer it over to the state reside once you get the CDL?

    If they want you to show up with your CDL in hand from your home State, you are looking at a training program as opposed to a CDL school. A CDL school will teach you how to get your license, nothing more nothing less. After you obtain it you will then go into a Company's training program where you will learn to drive a truck. You will go through the teaining process whether you get your CDL through a company school or through a local private school or even a community college, you will still enter a training program.

    I could be wrong, but it sounds to me like you are confusing the two.
