    I'm new to the trucking industry and will be starting my CDL training soon, my question is how do I obtain training for doubles and triples to get the endorsement, and as far as the hazmat endorsement is it just studying and passing a test to get that endorsement?

    In my state for endorsements, you read the book pay a few dollars and take a written/computerized test at the DMV. For HazMat, I had to go and take the test same as other endorsements, then go get fingerprinted and wait for the background test to come through. HazMat costs a few extra dollars to get here at least. Also it need renewed every so often.

    There are no skills testing for the endorsements in my state, or WI. I don't know about NC. Call you local DMV and they can give you exact details of what to do.
