How to pay a sub-contractor

    Oh yeah course I wouldn't have a problem paying $0.60 per mile, or I can give them percentage of the load either way I can 1099 them right

    I'll be honest. IMO, anyone who would pay an employee as a 1099, has no ethics or morals. There is no upside for the driver. If you have no problem paying them mid 50's, you should have no problem hiring them as a proper employee with the protections they deserve.

    That's not a problem. But wouldn't the company that I plan to lease onto have better incentives? So I guess my question is what's a decent amount and way to pay someone fair and still have revenue for the business?
