Is she becoming a physical therapist (you might need that) just kidding maybe not. What part of the country are you in? If you’re in the right spot ltl. I knew in my neck of the woods central pa.a big FedEx ground contractor was advertising whatever schedule you need they can work with you. Leaving a desk job jumping right into one of the most demanding jobs in the trucking industry can be real wake up call.
I hope they are still offering those sign on bonuses. Keep us informed if you move forward with it. Keep back straight and knees bent. Don't proceed if you hear snap crackle or pop.![]()
How to prepare for a job in food service where it is very physical?

I just had an interview with R+L. They are accepting new drivers. Pulling doubles at night. Home daily. Drop and hook. Just put on your favorite podcast and cruise. Might want to look into that option instead of the slippery restaurant stairs and wrestling handtrucks through the snow.Another Canadian driver and ibcalm19 Thank this. -
are you gonna do one of the ones where the stores you go to want you to stock their shelves?

You’re overthinking this quite a bit. You’ll be fine as long as you stretch before and after your shift. Your supervisor won’t expect you to run a route like you’ve been training for it on the first day. You also won’t be carrying 100lb boxes around or lifting them over your head. Everything gets stacked onto a dolly and wheeled to where it needs to go.

Any other circumstances and that #### would go right back to the warehouse to be unloaded. No way in hell I’d try to work around it.Another Canadian driver, Cardfan89 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
But the most important and in-demand profession in the food industry is that of a process engineer. This person in any production facility is responsible for the entire process of food preparation. I bought my entire arsenal of equipment in advance at Top 5 Best Meat Grinder Reviews in 2022 - Meat Grinder Experts. I am a master, and psychologically I already knew what I would have to deal with. Despite the public importance of the profession, the demand for it is distributed unevenly across the country. In small settlements the food industry is underdeveloped and there are practically no jobs there.

Squats will help for a position like this. Learn the proper form for a squat on a V-Squat machine to start so you have the mechanics right. Learn to not bend your back!
