Sometimes you need that 2 week paycheck. I had a manager that would tell you to leave immediately when you tried to turn in your 2 week notice (the company asked for the notice when they first hired you). I knew I couldn't afford missing on the pay, so I emailed him the notice with cc to the HR lady. He was fuming for those two weeks!
Exactly. When you've already lost your place, bulk of your personal possessions, made 20k last year and already have a reportable accident on your DAC with said company, you might wanna use a little prudence on how you handle the situation.
Eh I’ll probably just take home time at a terminal and have a ride there waiting. Clean the truck out and go home.
When I quit van wyk I gave 2 weeks notice. They ran me like scalded dog those 2 weeks , then brought me to sheldon on my last day and put me in a motel for the night . Next morning they drove me to the airport in soiux city to pick up a rental car .
You can click on the "messages" number on a poster's profile and read their postings. Look, I'm not trying to be critical of the op. Just pointing out that she is in the middle of (by her own admission) some challenges. Just turning in her keys and walking away without at least giving them some advanced notice probably isn't too wise for her right now.
