Step num. 1 is to have a new job before you try to give a 2 wk. notice, step 2 is to have everything out of the truck put at your home before giving 2wk quit notice ?

Very interesting to see all the opinions.
My opinion is that Clara is actually a psych student doing research. Previous issue seemed like she was working on gender ethics differences. This one just ethics in general. "She" doesn't seem to give many details that you cannot make up from reading the forums, and then after the hubbub she ghosts. Kinda interesting.
Hope you are getting A's outta this Clara....Just passing by, Odin's Rabid Dog, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this. -
Clara's next thread will be on whether or not she should become a lease operator with Prime or Swift.

Maybe if she's a year 2 student. If she's level 3 or 4th year and getting any smarter it should be something with more punch. Maybe AB5? Trucker mental health? Hopefully she tries something with more teeth than fleece purchase....

How about engine emissions delete, 1099 employee or ELD manipulation questions? Those are always good for 3 or 4 pages of bantering.
faux_maestro and Qbf594 Thank this. -
All subjects which keep TTR in the top 5 of search engine results, which is definitely a good thing for the site owner
Qbf594 Thanks this. -
I would call and ask for a different trainer immediately. Where I work they understand that sometimes students and trainers don't always mesh. They have no problem changing trainers.

Get your full year first! Then talk to your DM. Let them know you would like to part ways. Get them to route you to your home so you can unload your gear. Otherwise just get them to route you to the yard. Rent a car to carry your stuff and drive it home. Relax, the hell year is over. Now your a driver. If driving out west? @Dave_in_AZ might have a job for you

Dont give notice to megas. They are known to route you to some place 1000 miles from your home to turn in the truck. But its good advice to give notice to the small companies. The megas dont give a crap whether you stay or leave.supremegod Thanks this.

Two weeks is basically toilet paper. You wipe your behind with or in your case your employer wipe their behind with. As of some years back there are not many companies that have hiring contracts, therefore EVERYONE IS hired at-will, meaning they can fire you for no reason at all just say we don’t need you and bye. But if you want to give the two weeks notice I suggest you look at your situation. Do you have money to cover your expenses for the next month? Do you ALREADY have a job? Or might be starting soon? So your current employed have anything in the handbook about two weeks notices? Is there anything on the internet about your company that incline more to the possibility of you getting fired on the spot? Two weeks notices used to be for courtesy, now is a two lane road. It can go either way, so just be prepared for the worst so you don’t get caught by surprise!faux_maestro Thanks this.
