I have tried that with a hammer I carry. Honestly I could never tell the difference between ten pounds of pressure, it all sounds the same to me.
The tires on all the company trailers have the caps that air can flow through so no need to remove them.
How to repair a tire pressure gauge?

Nobody can. That's why we carry and USE tire pressure guages

Running around with low tires is hard on the tires and hard on the pocket book. Tires are one of our biggest expenses. We try to take care of them.
Every one of our trucks has a good tire guage in it. Every truck has an airhose with the proper fittings to air up tires. Whenever a truck or trailer goes through the shop, part of the pm is a tire check.
And believe me, we're neither nickle and dimers or rookies. Wherever it is you're working, you better stay there. You wouldn't last long at most outfits.TIMPTE 527 and Cam Roberts Thank this. -

I like the “AirbatRF” system we run now much better than the Crossfires we used to run
