I have a camera on all four sides of my rig including the rear of my trailer. Mine isn’t an International but you should be able to find a spot to drill a hole with a hole saw in the firewall. Then use silicone to fill in the hole around the cable. Look closely under the hood and in the cab first so you are certain you don’t drill into something. The problem I have had is after time the connection on the back of the tractor to the front of the trailer gets corrosion. If you catch it early electrical connection cleaner helps. If you don’t catch it early the connection goes bad and you will have to replace both cables. The best thing I have found to keep it corrosion free is dielectric grease on the outside of the connections. If you get it on the inside of the connection the camera will not work. The last time I replaced the cable Amazon had one with a protective sleeve that helps keep some road grime away. Keep a can of electrical contact cleaner and occasionally spray the connections. Also if you don’t keep the threads on the connections lubed, you will have to use pliers and vise grip to disconnect when you drop the trailer. This will damage the connections if not careful.

Don’t be worried to do this as you may learn something about your rig along the way. Take it one step at a time and go slowly. It is more labor intensive than it is difficult. The camera on the rear of the trailer is worth all the the effort when backing in tight spots and the side and front view cameras are priceless for everyday driving. If you ever get side swiped or rear ended you will appreciate what ever effort it took to get all 4 hooked up. 96AD02C6-451A-4F66-A0EA-03E4C0F199D5.jpeg

I go back to part of my original question. How do you run the wire from the tractor to the trailer? Well, I had it professionally done at Dalworth a reputable vehicle accessories specialty shop. It worked great until...

    1. I had to slide the tandems all the way back. The guy did not give it enough slack so the line snapped.
    2. The wire is coming out of the cab wrapped around the green line with zip tide and enough slack there no issues. The trailer camera wire comes up to the connection box all good so far... the connector I could not get the wire to uncouple so I cut the trailer cord. Here is what I bought, it really really works like magic, once you experience it you can't live without it.

I can get it redone right if possible!!! for nothing or next to it.

    3. A professional would have accounted for just that eventuality....
