And you have to wonder how the fuel stops/truck stops can afford to police the urine bottles and trash in lots when more than 50% of the users never spend a dime. Not to mention the declining health of the drivers. Its cheaper to be healthy today than unhealthy, from bad eating habits, later in life. A truck stop parking lot, or any parking lot on private property is not a right, but privaledge to use.

Seriously, that is horrible advice. All you have to do is some meal planning, and a fridge and a crockpot or microwave can be a ton healthier and cheaper in the long run than stopping anywhere that serves fast food.CougFan and Wild Murphy Thank this. -
Like everything in life, fast food included, everything in moderation.
I forgot to mention this about food, but vary what you eat otherwise you will get dietary fatigue. Variety is the spice of life. I used to eat those Completes ready to eat microwave meals day in and day out. I won't touch them now, I can't stand them.Dinomite Thanks this. -
Pi$$ing on the pavement, bottled "trucker tea" left behind along with a week's worth of trash on the ground (with a trash can 30 feet away) and drivers wonder why we have a hard time finding a place to park and "No Semi Parking" signs are popping up in places we have enjoyed the PRIVILEGE of parking at for years, like toadstools after a warm spring rain.
Yeah. Can't imagine why Wally World and grocery store parking lots don't want us hangin' around overnight anymore. Go figure. It's always the few bad apples that spoil the barrel for the rest of us. They make enough mess for ten decent folk. Property owners get sick of it. Can't say I blame 'em. Makes me sick, though. I didn't do it but yet I gotta suffer for it. That stinks.Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
Stay away from junk foods and eat better quality foods. Buy a fridge and in my case I went one step further and bought a 2cuft deep freezer. So it cuts down on the number of times I need to shop. I don't buy one thing at a TS except fuel.
You've got to eat right and what I do is the cheapest most efficient way of living on the road. I mostly buy my food at Costco.
the initial outlay is higher, but it will pay in the long run.Wild Murphy Thanks this. -

Cook your own food, stay out of the casino, and try not to make it rain in all those strip clubs with "ample truck parking."
Simple enough right?

Fridge drain the batteries. If you have a fridge you better be pulling a reefer and have some good jumper cables. Fast food is food. Who has time for slow food. They digest at the same rate.
Also fridges and coolers always break down. You will go through them 1 every couple of months. Also if you roll your truck. Just imagine the fridge laying on your headJust joshing.
