well I was out in the middle of no where Ks with 275 miles to go home empty. Nothing there but farmers and coops . Worth a try since broker is far too rich to open on a weekend or after 4 pm . that is what you get with NCI .

If I did not want a business loan then I would have no need for a plan . just gathering info on both so it gets done right . I have a sort of business plan . buy truck /trailer , get loads , work way too hard .... I jsut have to make sure I know exactly how to go about getting the loads so I can walk in to shipper and know what i am talking about . Then when I secure a place to get the loads or perhaps decide to use load boards or what ever makes the most sense then I can take that plan along with the proof of potential income to the bank and get a loan .
Not really knowing anything about all this means I have to ask a lot of questions and read up .

Oh I did not catch that . Yep Co-ops . the only thing I ever get from the coops is a free safety inspection

here is a question . Why do places require to go through a broker to broker the deal for a load instead of just dealing with an O/O ?
Seems lots of drivers find their own loads without a broker . I talked to a driver that works for a farmer doing exactly what I do and he calls around and gets the loads he hauls .
I am guessing that maybe the places that say " call your broker " have a contract with someone that requires it ?

I read when I can . do not get much time for this . Usually just enough to reply to threads I am in . Only have a few hours at home that i am not working and when driving I have almost no time at end of day to do anything but eat and sleep a little . Usually I can not get enough cell signal to do much of anything . I have learned a lot on here for sure
