I have news for you... Rates will be up for some time to come for one reason only the new CDL drivers are pretty much out of the market because in most states DMV offices are closed to testing for new CDL road and written test. This industry heavily relies on the fresh flow of newbies that COVID has cut off. There is no pipeline to replace the high turnover rate of truck drivers.

Put a driver in it. Won’t be long and you’ll want assets backing up your brokerage accounts...

Not to mention foreign driver inflow being cut off as well as high federal unemployment checks making it enticing for drivers to ride the couch.

Not sure if my insurance will allow me to do that. I really don't want to deal with a driver and truck problems will see though that might be a choice down the line.

Go to this link and view the Dow Jones Transportation Average.
Dow Jones Transportations Average Interactive Chart - Barchart.com

Go look at that chart and expand it for 20 years and take notice in Jan 2009 when Obama got elected, The market surged for 3 years, and then dipped late that year in 2012. Well what happened in 2012? Obama got re-elected and the market surged until 2016.

What happened in 2016, Market dipped later that year and Trump got elected, then Market surged until this year and we have seen chaos with Tariffs, Coronavirus, and many other things. Whoever gets elected the market will surge in 2021 causing a spike in Oil, Trucking, and Transportation. SO, wait until after November to sell your truck.

If you don't wanna wait thats on you.

    blacklabel and lights787 Thank this.
