theres a lot of companies that wont treat drivers this way. Ive never spent an uncomfortable night in a truck.
-
You've never slept in a Peterbilt, have you! Those sleepers are uncomfortable to even look at!

Do you really trust 80,000 lbs of freight running down the road at 55 miles an hour to the Terminator or RoboDriver? What happens when he needs a reboot?

Peterbilt was the first company to come out with a temperature controled heating and cooling thermostat on the blower in the sleeper! The sleeper is separated from the cab and is my main choice of truck to own and drive! Screw FL, KW, Int, and Volvo! I've driven them all and Pete to me is the best. That's MHO!
Oh the way to sleep in Texas without A/C at noon is to wait for fall, winter, and spring or not sleep at noon! -
You can sleep without the air conditioning...it isn't comfortable, but what do you think they did years ago when there wasn't such a thing?
-
Well puppet, there were fewer people, less autos and more breeze. You could leave your windows open and not get your throat cut.
Also......some of us folks born & raised in Texas can tell you that we got freaking sick during the summer due to the heat and the humidity.
Idle the truck. -
It sucks but you do get used to it after awhile I know...just like you get used to being in controlled air all day long.
