How to start a company....

    Past year and half I have been delivering to lots of companies big and small.
    I'm curious as to how these companies are started...example

    The products are coming from overseas most likely....(for example:socks)

    The containers are unloaded and the products are ready to be shipped out by LTL companies, Fedex, ups, etc etc

    Some of these companies that I have delivered do not own a single truck.

    What kind of business is this?
    Warehousing?
    Distribution?

    Any ideas...
