How to Start...

Look at the bigger oil/propane companies in your area that have a transport div. With a quick Google search I found Palmdale Oil and Tropic Oil both have a transport div. That is how I got into tankers years ago.

Palmdale is hiring according to their website.

 

Hey @Chinatown, I just got recent CDL Grad ;this month been looking can’t find any employment. I know CA is hard finding employment. I live in Southern CA and can only do Urine test companies since I completely stopped smoking recently. I’m open to Nevada as well since I lived there in 2019. Looking for Regional Western; I’m open to other opportunities.Thank you for helping us all.

 

Western Express does urine test. Probably stay in the West with the dry van division, but probably run all over in the flatbed division.
Plenty of companies hiring, but not sure about urine test only. I'll see what else I can find.

Stevens Transport is known for doing urine test and sometimes picks some random driver for hair follicle.
I think Stevens does some intermodal stuff out of California. That's probably local/regional.

Palmdale looks pretty good. I'd apply at Palmdale and Tropic Oil whether they're hiring or not; never know when some driver may quit or retire and leave an opening.

I can list a couple dozen companies, but can't guarantee urine only test.
