So the new year is right around the corner and my resolution is to lose a bit of weight. Maybe 20 pounds or so it’s not like I’m too big yet, but headed there if I don’t put a stop to it now.

What are some good exercises and exercise equipment for a truck. I work long hours locally and by the time I get home I’m about to wore out to do much, but I have time waiting in the mill I could work out. I’m not supposed to get out of my truck while I wait though. Anyway, any ideas or advice you want to help me with would be appreciated.

I guess one big thing for me is I’ve never had to be careful with my eating so never really learned much self control. I like to eat junk food and it hasn’t been to big of a deal till I turned 30, now it’s catching up.

Exercise is minimal compared to getting your diet under control.

Eat what is necessary for the well being of your body. Exercise to help your body & mind(real important to include this). Don't eat just for the sake of eating.

Pack healthy foods and NO junk food. If you don't have it, you can't eat it. Now that you are 30, lots of things will change. The better weight you maintain and better shspe you stay in, the better for you all the way around. In truck exercise, I use this
OYO Gym: Full Body Portable Fitness Equipment And walk a mile every day.

Walk as much as possible while you get your diet sorted.

Once you do that, you can add in actual exercise..
those stretchy bands are great. If you can unload your own truck on occasion, that is good as well.

Trying to exercise before getting your diet under control will actually cause you to gain even more. Cut the sugar & carbs and try to have a somewhat normal sleep schedule.

Push-ups, bridges, planks, squats, and lunges require zero equipment.

That’s actually the one thing I do really good with. Most days I drink only black coffee and water. Only rarely when we eat out I’ll occasionally order a coke to drink. I don’t drink any alcohol either. I quit smoking a few years ago and now I just crave sweets like candy bars and stuff like that. For years I’ve had a little snack in the morning sometimes, (breakfast is usually around 4:30) and then in the afternoon I’d get a candy bar or something totally unhealthy. It’s crazy how strong the craving for sweets can be when you’re just used to it.

For a while I literally would binge eat thankfully I’ve been able to quit that. I’ve ate a whole pack of Oreos myself and I’m talking the family size. If it’s in here I end up eating it. I guess that’s my deal I realize I have to change before it gets bad. If I kept on for sure like it used to be, I’d be 350 pounds before I knew it. Seriously.

I didn’t really quit drinking soft drinks but I may have one coke about once a week and it’s just one of those 8 ounce cans and I rarely finish it. Coffee, tea and water is usually it for me.
