Just tell em' take this job and shove it!
Rideandrepair and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
I would be lying if I said no. There are times I miss it, and there are times I’m glad I walked away! I think this is one of the reasons why I turn to helping other drivers it satisfies me and makes me feel like I’m contributing back. And once a Trucker always a Trucker, I guess!Rideandrepair and rachi Thank this.

A lie can be spotted a mile away. The Bible says "lips of truth shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is for but a moment." It also says, "prepare for death."

By far the best answer was to be honest. Called and said I accepted another offer and would not be attending orientation. Simply asked me if the other offer was better pay and said application would remain open for a year if I changed my mind.
Cat sdp, Rideandrepair, TripleSix and 3 others Thank this. -
Man, we were all prepared for that yarn you were going to spin them. My money was on it involving alien probes.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Good for you, sounds like it worked out perfectly. It also sounds like option #2 is a decent company as well.
Rideandrepair and Redtwin Thank this. -
You are a great example for the rest of us. Glad it worked out.
