The other day I had my bosses truck because I got a hole innmy radiator so I took his truck and his load. The breaks were the ####tyest ive ever had to drive x10 no exaggeration and im carrying tomatoes and im completely full in 50' spread axle. I already know the trailer isnt kept up on maintness..... 1 air bag has been holding on only about half way now for months with just 1 bolt, that caused the bearings to pop out on that side of the axle so if u go over 65 your shaking to death. The break drums on that thing were a 1/4 INCH probably closer to a half inch away from the outer part.... Which i would of changed now myself if I knew how but instead of a 7/16 or 9/16 1 axle was a square bolt the other was a star so i went and payed to have the breaks done on it and then wanted to kick myself at how easy they were. But breaks on tractor were super crazy sqreeching every time you hit them i couldnt adjust the back axle because bolt wouldnt move he just bearly replaced them yesterday new drum and slack adjuster. And omg he had so much water in the air tanks when the air bags filled up you could hear it splashing around and water would drain out the bottom of bags and the break drums had water coming out everyone. So I decised to drain his tanks for him..... He had 4 little tanks on tractor 97 frightliner. I only got a chance to drain 3 of the tanks and the trailer tank. OMFG you wouldnt believe me unless u were there on what came out I swear on whats holy I got at least 2 or 3 gallons of oily sludge from each tank and no joke not kidding the oily sludge came up off the ground about 2 or 3 inches deep in the center and spread out about 3 or 4 feet in diameter for each dam tank and then rest of watery sludge just ran off.... On 2 of the tanks that #### was so dam thick that a solid gunk shot out for first few seconds i was holding release valve open. And on 2 of tanks he didnt have any wire on them to pull and at first i grabbed a rachet with like a foot extenstion on it and started pressing it was that a mistake dam..... After about 5 min with it still coming steadily my hand and the extention and rachet were completly covered in a black sludge super thick man i hooked up wires to the 2 tanks tied them off left truck running and went and spent 20 min washing hands and rachet and when I came out sludge and nasty #### was still coming out.... How the hell truck let alone compressor still ran amazed me.
How to tell if Air Dryer is bad or needs the filter replaced?
