So I came back over to CRST, tired of jumping from orientation to orientation and job hunting I figured I might as well come back and make some bucks while I look.
Anyway they put me in a truck with this guy( only for a week) but he's new to Otr, and he is very very bad. Completely stops breathing and then wakes up with a god awful snore immediately after... And I feel bad because he's not doing so hot financially, that's why he came out Otr, but man he's got bad sleep apnea. I mean I don't want to report him to the company and take his well being from him, but at the same time, that's not safe at all...
Hell I snore but only if I've been drinking and I'm sleeping on my back but nothing like this. Any tips? He is under contract.

Or just let him be -
Well isn't that something. Interesting idea

Is he a bigger dude? i thought companies make you take a sleep apnea test if your neck is measured over 17 inches. There are two types of sleep apnea also not just obstructive. I kinda wonder if i have it myself but im not fat i'm 6'3 227 lbs.

is your co-driver a nice person?
Other than his "snoring" are you ok working wirth him?
I don't know how old you are or how long you've been in trucking......But Hard working Men been snoring and choking for 100's of years- Its only an issue NOW because of the Registry-medical groups Making it an issue.
10 years ago- Sleep Apnea wasn't ever a topic nor suggested Anywhere in trucking.
If his snores are "waking up the neighborhhood" Put in earplugs if you guys are sleeping togethermc8541ss, MJ1657 and northernhopper Thank this. -
I remember being in the 220s! I was a stick haha -
But I won't be with him for long, that's why I asked. I heard that it can kill you and cause health problems, and that's the last thing anyone needs! -
are you Driving while he's sleeping? Im assuming you are- And it still bothers you?
Or are you Both back there together? -

Try this. Hey codriver, did you know that you stop breathing and snore real bad when you sleep? Im kinda concerned about you.
Then drop it. It his deal. Like other poster said men have been snoring long before the government wanted to make money off of it.
