I'm set to go to two orientations. How do I tactfully turn down the one I don't want to go to without burning the bridge? Just in case I do decide to go with them one day...
How to turn down an orientation when going to another one?

Hehe, in the same situation LOL. Got a call from my first application today asking if I would go out tomorrow with one of their folks down into Colorado to move some water. I have applied with two other local companies since handing that application in, and have been waiting on a road-test with one, and the other is finalizing an offer of employment. The one sending me an employment offer is a large national water handling company that deals with frac tanks, pipe, pumps, etc, but is brand new to this area, and the pay is less and they don't have as good of hours as the other two.
I have spoken face to face with all three, and they all seem like good companies to work for. Never had to tell someone thanks, but no thanks. -
its not easy just be yourself and tell them thanks, but no thanks and be polite.
Wargames Thanks this. -
Tell them your worth more. And money is the bottom line. And like others said, tell them, Thank you for your time, and hope to see you in the future. But, your family is first.

I would call the other company and just tell them its not the right time for you to head to their orientation.
That way you left doors open, even if this orientation you choose don't go well or don't say the stuff you like.
