    I would bet that dump valves and trolley brakes are 2 items left off of most tractors in large fleets. The number of those drivers who use both incorrectly, going merrily down the road with the suspension in the lowered(dump) mode destroying the entire driveline, and then slowing an 80K truck on dry pavement and flat spotting the tires was way more than their fleet maintenance departments could stomach.

    Common for the mega fleets. Big ole' Marten Transport didn't have an air dump on their Trucks.

    With a loaded pneumatic it was 25 low gear turns once the legs made contact with the ground.

    I drove for 36 years and never "had" to use a Johnny bar, did I, yes on occasion or pretriping or hooking a set.

    Wow, ok. I must be living in a cave, I had no idea so many trucks didn’t have a dump valve. Pardon my ignorance on that.
