I'm currently hiring and I require 3+ years driving experience. How can I verify how many years someone has driven for other than asking previous employers?
How to view employee's previous driving years & experience?

You don't
You ask previous employers.
OR spend maybe 50 dollars for a proper background check. If it accesses their social security lifetime wage earning records the information might be contained therin. -
I'm curious to see what other O/O do to verify this

If they worked at a employer who does not report to SSA wages etc then they are cheating themselves very badly when it comes time later in life to retire or whatever.
I only offer information that I have seen first hand. It's just a thought. Being a employer you need information and I think if it is difficult for you to make many phone calls or faxes, perhaps you can hire a call center to deal with your needs on a custom basis They can with say 10 staffers to your account call say 10 trucking companies seeking information on a theoratical new hire in front of you who claims they worked for 10 trucking companies.
I don't write very well, But the intent is the same, it's not much however I do enjoy solving problems if at all possible.
I hope things go well for you. Good luck. -
I beleive MVR states when cdl was acquired. Or can be found out.
DAC also lists employment. At least mine does clear back to my wrenching days.

Take them for a drive test, you’ll find out really quickly. Even if they manage to be able to shift you’ll notice other things that trucks don’t do that four wheelers do. Someone that double clutches and has all their attention on getting shifted is a very clear sign but like I said there will be other things.
Some guys jump up in the cab and just by their demeanor you know they are meant to be there. Other guys are uncomfortable and out of place.
If the guy isn’t smooth, confident, and patient then pass whether you like him/her or not.Last edited: May 11, 2019

You are required by law to attain their last ten years of truck driving job history. Any non-driving jobs go back three years.
Why skirt the regs? They are in place for a reason. Seems like you’re trying to create a problem.
