How well do companies protect against fraud?

If you mention the guy to any company you apply with, they won't hire you.
Get a couple of GoPro cameras or some similar type and use them for side views.
The stalker won't be able to follow you all over the country anyway; the problem will be on hometime.
I'd file a police report about being stalked and threatened; this way if he does something there will already be a record of him being a problem. You can sue him before he gets the chance to sue you. Stalking is a crime. If you can hit him with a restraining order, then sue the next time it happens, it will get his attention.

 

I'm not tryna be mean, but could it be all in your head?

I mean, how do you let someone screw with your brain that much?

If you claim that what you've tried to explain, is TRULY A REALITY, then trucking will make you lose your marbles so fast, you wont even know what hit ya.

You will deal with unrealistic, sometimes vindictive dispatchers, shippers/receivers who don't care about your HOS, DOT that expects you to be 100% on your P's & Q's wrt to your truck, car drivers that get annoyed with your big rig....Its a crazy world out there, and you are only getting started...

 

I'd say your best insurance in this situation is not to drive at all. hole up and forget it..

but some do take on the personal exspense of extra protection dubbed as insurance. a stalker? . wow! could wear a bunch of camera's too.

 

How come you don't get a restraining order against this guy?Trucking companies aren't here to protect you or anyone else from a stalker.If you tell them about this lunitic they're not going to hire you.Companies only think of them and protecting their business.So I would suggest going to the cops about this stalker.

 

Are you married? Do you have any children?

If the answer is no to both of these questions, you may want to consider moving out of your hometown and go 3 or 4 states away, switching your CDL from your home state to your new place of residence.

Instruct your family NOT to give out your new location.

After relocating, find an OTR driving job, driving SOLO, to all 48 states, and possibly to Canada. Be sure you have a passport for your Canadian trips, to be able to get back into the U.S.A..

Chances are, the stalker will quit stalking you, due to not being able to pin you down. In the mean time, you could be getting at several years of experience under your belt.

Whatever you do, do NOT tell a soul what is going on with you, as far as the stalker is concerned. It could come back to bite you in the rear. I kid you not.

In fact it is best to be careful who you talk to and what you say, concerning anything in your life that does NOT need to be made public.
