I want to learn how to drive big truck. Can't afford school. No one will hire you without experience. Any ideas?

Well, the schools can usually finance it. There are also companies that provide training. You have to stay with them for a certain period of time for it to be fully paid for, but there are a couple of options for you to consider.

Poke around on the forum, you'll find some threads that discuss these things!

Well I don't know if this will help anyone out but because of the economy and being in construction the last 20+ yrs I had to draw unemployment well doing research I found out I qualified for a grant and was able to go to a private school and not be tied down to any particular Co...has good points and bad...but for me good...so you might check with your local Job service to see what might be options for you..mine was a small school with great individual training and I now hold my CDL w/hazmat and hopefully will be driving tanker in the next couple weeks..HTH..Best of Luck to all..:yes2557:

Dont know where you live. But call your county office. Ask if they have a job training program office. You have to take tests, to see if you would be a good fit for the job. And if you are, they will pay for your schooling and or help you get grants. Its worth a try anyhow! Good luck!!!
